Your gallery brought back such lovely memories of places we have visited. I’m hoping that we can make some of them again one day. However Maureen often gets lost around the home and taking her out of her comfort zone is risky. Still Cleethorpe is a beautiful place to live and the beach is ten minutes walk away.
I can’t imagine anything nicer than living near a beach. I’m glad my gallery brought back memories and you’ve reminded me that I need to update it -ha!thankyou!
What a beautiful garden, the lady i look after would love it tell you the truth so would i.my client’s favorite place is when she’s in her garden, offten picking flowers for inside.Thank you for sharing 😊🌸🌹🌼🌻
You have so much here to see!! I want to ‘catch up’ with you, but if I can’t go back too far, I’ll start with Today!! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your journey, Wendy. I look forward to what I will learn from your story!
Me again “o) Wendy, did you do your own vision board that you posted here in your gallery? I sure do like that! I have had “to do” one for myself, for far too long now, so I HOPE this has given me the OOMPH that I need! Thanks!
Hi Wendy
I just finished reading your book and it was so fascinating to read about you experiences. It was an amazing read that moved me to tears- keep on going xxx
Hi Wendy.loved your book..i work with elderly italians living with dementia and found useful strategies mentioned in your book.keep fighting .you are inspirational!!
I’ve just stfinished reading your book here in Australia. I enjoyed it very much. Just signed up to be part of a research project by the University of New South Wales named Maintain Your Brain.
Dear Wendy. Just this minute finished your book. I read it as niece of a 94 year old lady physically as fit as a fiddle with one big exception…. her dementia. Your book has answered so many questions I hadn’t quite formed in my mind about how best to interact with her. I cannot thank you enough. Your stoical attitude, frankness and clear account of days in the life of someone living with dementia have made this THE most important textbook I’m ever likely to read. I really enjoyed looking through your photos and it reminded me to take the large box of images in to Aunt Doris when I am there next. A HUGE thanks to a beautiful lady who had made a massive difference to so many. Love. Sylvia.
Dear Wendy, I am on holiday in Crete and just finished your very inspiring, wonderful book. What can I say other than as an Occupational Therapist you have given me a much better understanding into the world of Dementia than I would have ever thought possible when I was recommended the book. It’s given me lots of ideas to practice when I am working with customers and carers living with Dementia. I will defiantly be recommending your book to colleagues, friends and staff in Dementia care homes. Thank you for taking the time to write this book and spread the word on living with dementia I can only imagine how proud your two daughters must be of you. Sending you love and hugs xxx
You are an inspiration to everyone – a can do attitude – go Wendy!! Thank you for telling your story in such detail, it was a great read and certainly opened my eyes to the challenges of living with dementia. You have done so much to increase awareness of the difficulties and “magic” at times of living with this disease.
Keep on keeping on Wendy xx

Dear Wendy, I came across your book by accident in my local library, and what a wonderful read it was. My lovely neighbour does have dementia and reading your book has helped me in many ways to now understand the person that she is and to see her ‘June ‘and not the label that is attached to her condition.
I now read your blog every day and through reading and hearing about your adventures I find myself so looking forward to each afternoon when I can tune in to see what’s new in the world of Wendy. I really just want to say ThankYou.
I wish I had your drive and determination, believe me I take my hat off to you. Wendy you are a great spokeswoman and you are the light shining out there in the darkness. Long may you GLOW.
A Big Hug to you my dear friend.
