Yesterday I experienced the good and bad side of handing our life over to the media.
The morning was certainly a low point and one which I’d rather forget so won’t record here. However, I’ve kept my notes so may elaborate on at a later date when the storm subsides.
But the afternoon was the polar opposite and certainly a high. it was time for Jim Read from the BBC. One of the loveliest reporters I know and actually trust.
He filmed me, Keith Oliver and Christopher and Veronica Devas 3 years ago (I think!)
He was here to make an updated video which will be shown hopefully at the end of the month or beginning of Feb.
You can see the original here:
This time they were keen to concentrate on the changes that have taken place in us all as well as our views on Social Care and how we now fill our time…….obviously I had to mention my book! In the couple of months proceeding today we’d all had the use of a video camera to record ad hoc and now today Jim was asking questions to tie in with the film.
Anyway, the afternoon was a lovely one and we filmed for about 3 hours before Jim had everything he wanted. I havn’t a clue what he asked me but it was as lovely as always to see him again. Can’t wait for the end result to be shown……
loved seeing the film again and a very good reminder for us, as we have the delightful Jim on Monday , so we shall see if we’ve done enough for him
huge hug Veronica and Christopher
