Billy’s back from holiday…….

Billy here…….

Wendy’s popped round to feed me give me a cuddle, and left her iPad lying around while she goes out and potters in the garden….
I’ll watch her from my look out post  join her in a minute and cause havoc help but first I thought I’d fill you all in on my recently holiday incarceration in the local cats hotel cattery..

Gemma and Stuart  went off skiing and decided that me and Wendy would cause too much havoc around the village if left to our own devices. Obviously I can’t imagine what they could mean, but I did overhear Wendy mention a collar and a lead,🙀 so maybe it was a good thing as my street cred would have plummeted to unknown depths…………and Toby and Neil next door would have fallen about laughing😹😹.

So the next best thing the last resort was the hotel cattery…………

I was lovingly cajoled unceremoniously manhandled into my travel box and off we went ……

It turned out that I had my own two storey apartment a cage for the week. Gemma had remembered to pack my box, string, toys, and blanket bare essentials. During the week I made friends with my next door neighbour cell mate next door and we both had a whale of a time we both endured the loneliness that occurs when our slaves owners go on holiday.

The slave woman who brought our food each day was a walkover was very kind and brought us food whenever we gave her our cutest meow 😻food twice a day. I could wrap her round my little paw She didn’t take any nonsense but was very gullible kind and thoughtful.

When Gemma and Stuart came to take me home I was over the moon to see them I made them wait while I said goodbye to all my new friends…….

A holiday Life in a hotel cattery can be great fun very lonely, so here’s to the next holiday please don’t leave me again…..

Maybe if I give Wendy my most sorrowful look, she'll come back inside and play......I'll just practice while she's not looking.......

About wendy7713

On the 31st July 2014 I was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. I may not have much of a short term memory anymore but that date is one I’ll never forget. I’m 58 years young, live happily alone in Yorkshire, have 2 daughters and I’m currently still in full time employment in the NHS. However, I’m now in the process of taking early retirement to give me a chance of enjoying life while I’m still me. I've started this blog to allow me, in the first instance, to write all my thoughts before they’re lost. If anyone chooses to follow my ramblings it will serve as a way of raising awareness on the lack of research into Alzheimer's. It will hopefully convey the helplessness of those diagnosed with dementia, as there is no cure – the end is inevitable. However, I’m also hoping I can convey that, although we've been diagnosed, people like me still have a substantial contribution to make; we still have a sense of humour; we sill have feelings. I’m hoping to show the reality of trying to cope on a day to day basis with the ever-changing environment that dementia throws at those diagnosed with the condition. What I want is not sympathy. What I want is simply to raise awareness.

  1. I think you should play the sympathy card for all it’s worth. After all you wouldn’t take yourself off and leave them, would you? WOULD YOU???? Meanwhile, you now have access to Wendy’s iPad while she’s in the garden. Quick, there must be some cat-type websites you can browse … maybe even a little light shopping while she’s out there?
PS Can you tell Wendy that I think she’s very kind to let you share her blog posts? I would be nice to her anyway, after she’s not the one who left you, is she?
